Los Romanes is situated in the eastern Costa del Sol within the area known as Axarquia.
It overlooks Lake Vinuela and across to Mount Maroma and surrounding villages.
It has a bar / restaurant, village shop and a bar.
A short drive away are La Vinuela and Puente Don Manuel where shops, restaurants, banks can be found.
It is approx. 50 kms / 31 miles to Malaga airport. Driving time is approx. 50 minutes.
The closest coastal town is Torre Del Mar, a 21 kms drive.
The area has some spectacular and beautiful scenery and also within reach of Nerja, Competa, Frigiliana, Torrox, Comares and other inland villages.
The cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville can be easily visited.
Walking and golf are two of the recreations which can be pursued within a short travelling distance. Winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada and next day on the beach is a possible combination.
