Both Castillo and and Alcala are Market towns. The Monday market in Castillo is smaller but occupies the beautiful little tree lined village park. |

Castillo de Locubin is located just 2 kilometer off the main N432 Granada/Cordoba highway which takes you into the heart of either city within the hour.
Granada international airport is just 40 minutes away and Malaga, a little further, at 90 minutes. Transport links are excellent with frequent bus services to Alcala, Jaen, Cordoba and Granada.
Castillo has a large range of supermarkets, shops, banks, cafes and restaurants. Many of these are clustered around the tree lined park which is only a short stroll from the house. A bar/restaurant at either end competes for your custom.
